How to Apply

1	The application in Standard Form as prescribed in Part-IX of Assam Gazette should be addressed to the:

2	The candidates may deposit/submit the application:
2	At the R.K. Branch located at the 2nd Floor of the D.C.'s Office, Karimganj during working days and hours Or send by post to the above postal address
3	Additionally, include one self-addressed and stamped envelope of Rs.5/- (Size 25cm X 10cm).

Selection Procedure

Step	Description
(A)	The candidates will be shortlisted (2 to 3 times of the vacancy) based on the marks secured in Graduation (10 marks), Higher Secondary (20 marks), HSLC (20 marks).
(B)	The shortlisted candidates on the basis of merit will be called through the online portal of District Commissioner, Karimganj (www.karimganj.assam.gov.in) for the final written exam in the month of February.
(C)	Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in criteria (A) & (B) above.

Educational Qualification and Other Criteria

Category	Description
Minimum Educational Qualification	HSLC Examination or its equivalent examination passed from any Central or State recognized Boards.
Other Essential Qualification	6 (six) months Recorders Class Course Certificate Training from the Assam Surveys & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingoan, Guwahati, and having a certificate of RCCC Training passed from ASSTC.
Age	Age of the candidates as on 01/01/2024 shall be between 18 (eighteen) years minimum and the upper age must not exceed 40 (forty) years. The upper age is relaxable by 5 (five) years for SC/ST, 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC; 10 (ten) years for PWD & 2 years for Ex-serviceman candidates.
Other Essential Criteria and General Instructions	The name of the candidate must be registered in any Employment Exchange of Assam, and the details of the registration are to be furnished on the application form with a copy of the employment Registration Card. Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel, ensuring that their application reaches this office on or before the last date of submission of the application. Pension and other retirement benefits are to be governed by a new set of pension rules. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview and screening exercise. Canvassing directly or indirectly will lead to disqualification of candidature.
